Ceralene Anemones is scallop-shaped, embossed rimmed china that features a sprawling, brilliantly colored floral design. The pattern was inspired by a circa 1750 anemone design from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Ceralene is produced by Raynaud, a manufacturer known and recognized as being a leader in applied art in tableware design. Raynaud, founded in 1894, has for decades created original designs fordiscerning people including President Benjamin Harrison, Lady Diana, and actor Dustin Hoffman. Raynaud was established in Limoges, France, a city 200 miles southeast of Paris, world renowned for its artistry in fine porcelain. According to the Raynaud website, “Raynaud has upheld its custom of producing resplendent relief shapes, gilt decorations and engraved tableware whose signature hallmarks have transcended generations.” The Anemones pattern is a wonderful example of Raynaud’s dedication to superior quality and design.
